Leggings are a girl’s best friend. Even Marilyn Monroe can’t convince me otherwise. Leggings have been an essential part of the wardrobe for decades and are becoming increasingly popular. No wonder why: comfortable, flattering and easy to style. These undergo a major change in style, adapting depending on whether you dress more elegantly or more casually. I think it’s because we’re living such a hybrid lifestyle post-lockdown, but it’s good to meet fashion and comfort. Today I want to talk about different shirts that you can wear with leggings.
From animal prints to solid colors, there isn’t a design I haven’t tried. My passion for leggings has allowed me to experiment with different styles. Therefore, I can confidently say that leggings paired with shirts are a stunning combination.
Putting these versatile and minimalist pieces together can give you a chic look. Pair them with the right accessories and voila! Your fashion trend will improve several notches. So scroll down to check out the cool ideas I put together.

1. Long georgette top with black leggings
If your natural choice for this top is black skinny jeans, try pairing it with leggings. Because they don’t bunch around the waist like jeans, the fit of the top is maintained and creates a flattering silhouette. Add a thick waist belt, pumps and a crossbody bag to get party ready!
2. Colored high rise hooded leggings
We learned a thing or two from Kendal Jenner and Gigi Hadid, didn’t we? They practically live in leggings and hoodies, and you can too. Choose bold colors instead of the usual neutrals.
3. Monochromatic look with leggings
Try the effortless yet chic monochrome look with black leggings. Break up the slim silhouette with brown combat boots and get ready for people to steal glances.
4. Silk blouse with leather leggings
Leggings probably aren’t the first thing you reach for when you’re walking through your closet with a silk blouse in hand. But a flattering top like this deserves nothing less than these ultra-hot leather leggings. Wear ankle-length ankle boots and a black side crossbody bag, put on a pair of hoops and style your hair in beachy waves.

5. Crop top and leggings
I think we can all agree that the only acceptable bottoms in the summer are leggings. I’m talking about the soft and breathable version that has a thick waistband, doesn’t ride up and can be paired with racerbacks or tank tops.
6. Bomber jacket and fleece leggings
Tame the puffiness of a bomber jacket with the slimming silhouette of leggings. Add ankle-length boots to this to perfectly balance the contrasting pieces.
7. Denim jacket and black leggings
There are two ways to deal with a denim jacket. Of course, one option is to layer it over a tank top and black leggings. This looks great. The second option is to create layers and enhance the look with a crop top. Believe me, it makes a big difference. A white crop top, a cropped denim jacket (sleeveless or otherwise), and white sneakers are the way to go.
8. Checkered jersey leggings and leather jacket
Checks have also found their way into leggings. This androgynous pattern is an interesting choice for looking stylish almost effortlessly. Place the jeggings on the frame and put either a black t-shirt, tube, or even a bralette on top. Complement it with a leather jacket to create an edgy look. Ankle boots will look great with this outfit.
9. Abstract leggings and tie top
Abstract print leggings are a step up from the usual floral print leggings. They are usually pretty gentle and not too exaggerated. So stick to the print and keep the top simple. Try a simple black top tied at the front to dress it up a bit.
10. High waist shaped leggings and sweater
High-waisted sculpted leggings let you show off your calves, butt, curves, and everything else you’ve been working on, even in the winter. Pair them with oversized, embellished or high-low sweaters. Boots of all lengths go well with this outfit.

11. Animal print leggings and crew neck top
Channel your inner fashionista with these animal print leggings and crew neck top. A sleeveless top or halter top also looks great with these leggings. Wear sneakers, tie your hair in a bun, put on a pair of hoops and apply brown lipstick to complete this look.
12. Flannel shirt and leggings
Flannel or checked shirts with leggings are very trendy. It started in the 90s and we haven’t looked back since. You can tie the flannel at the waist or wear it as a layer. It can also be worn alone over leggings.
13. Printed leggings and graphic tee
We saw abstract prints, animal prints and some bold colors. These leggings bring them all together. Wear them with a graphic tee, tuck it in, and throw on a pair of kitten heels and square glasses to express your inner badass.
14. High-low top and leather leggings
The fashion police are afraid of visible panty lines and are reluctant to wear crop tops with leggings. A high-low top is the perfect way to overcome that. Plus, with leather, jersey and fleece leggings you don’t have to worry about the briefs. However, be careful with the camel toe!

15. Long sleeve shirt and leggings
Loosely tuck a long-sleeved linen or cotton shirt into your leggings, throw on a pair of ankle-strap sandals, and strut around like you own the world. If you wear this look with confidence, you probably do!
16. Maternity leggings and flowy top
Hello, baby mama! We know you’re only wearing leggings at this point. Forget your usual oversized shirts, sweaters, hoodies and boyfriend tees and swap in flowy tops like these. Flaunt that bulge!
17. All black leggings and shirt for party wear
Who said you can’t go to a party in leggings? Take a close look at this outfit to see how wrong they are. This look with a tie top and leggings is particularly suitable for going to the club.
